Jonathan had his first Tae-kwon-do class today. He was counting down the days because he was so excited. He was begging to leave a few hours prior to the class even starting. We arrived early so he could meet the instructor and get his uniform. He was thrilled to get his uniform (smallest size they had…000). I helped him get dressed in the bathroom and his face was priceless. Upon donning his uniform, he immediately began doing "ninja" moves.

I think the uniform makes him more "powerful." |
Then we waited and watched the other class finish. Jonathan was the newest member of the class (not to mention the youngest) so he got a little extra help from his instructor. He tried all of the warm-up exercises, but raised his hand and shouted, "Teacher, teacher, teacher! When are we going to learn how to punch?!?!" It was beyond hilarious.
There were a lot of routines to follow, and Jonathan got a little confused (and excited). There were three lines to rotate through to do different kicks. When finished in one line, students were supposed to go to the END of the next line, but Jonathan didn't quite understand and really didn't want to wait his turn. He kept cutting in front of kids and when the line was "too long", he ran back to the previous line. Oh, well, he'll get there. He also tried his moves on a few kids who had to tell him to settle down (and may have given him a weird look).
